As Auction House our task is to sell your goods at the highest possible price. We don’t buy your items, we sell them in your behalf, we share the same purpose.
The higher price we make, the better is for both parties. So, let us advise you frankly, it is our job!
What we sell
Czerny’s is a point of reference in Europe. We deal in antique arms (firearms up to 1890), armour, militaria, orders and decorations and important antiques. If you wish to sell a single lot or your whole collection, you can:
- Call us for an appointment and come visit us at our headquarters.

Once we verify each lot’s condition, quality and value with you, we set a starting price (which in our case is also the reserve price for the lot, under that price we are not allowed to sell the item) and assign the lot to one of our live auctions or silent auctions.
How we sell it
When the deal is made and the contract signed, we start to make descriptions in English and Italian, to take hi res pictures for our website, International applets and for our world famous printed catalogues. We promote the sale(s) through our newsletter service (with more than 20.000 registered clients worldwide), in full pages advertisement in the most important art and antiques magazines and newspapers.
We present them during our public exhibitions, we make all the proper paperwork to import and export your goods, collect bids and at the end we take a commission that is a percentage of your realized price directly from the hammer price.
When we sell it
Auctions and Post Auctions
Our goal is to sell 100% of the presented lots each auction directly in the room. The lots that go unsold remain available to be bought at the reserve price for two months after the auction’s date.
Payment
As soon as the buyer pays us, we pay you.
Usually these transactions, including customs documents, ex/import permits and special licences might take a few weeks to be completed and for this reason we start to make payments 60 days after the sale.
One more thing
Differently from other auction houses, we don’t charge for our expertises, we don’t charge you to have a bigger picture in our catalogues, we don’t charge you all the pictures we take of your lots. There are no hidden fees, all our work is included in the commission.
